Convallax is the options layer for prediction markets. It issues European cash-settled calls and puts on the YES outcome price of Polymarket binary markets — giving traders a way to take leveraged directional views with known, bounded downside. All positions are collateralized in USDC, represented as ERC-1155 tokens, and settled on Polygon. This documentation covers how options work, how to trade them, how market makers connect to the RFQ relay, and how to interact with the contracts directly.

How Options Work

Understand calls, puts, strikes, and payoff curves on Polymarket YES token prices.

RFQ Lifecycle

Follow a trade from quote request through atomic on-chain settlement.

Settlement & Resolution

Learn how options are settled at expiry using attested VWAP resolution prices.

For Traders

Take leveraged positions on prediction market outcomes with capped, predefined risk. You buy an option, pay a premium in USDC, and hold an ERC-1155 token representing your position until expiry.
1

Pick a market

Browse active Polymarket binary markets. Choose a strike price from the fixed grid and an expiry date, then decide whether you want a call (betting YES goes up) or a put (betting YES goes down).
2

Get a quote

Submit a request for quote (RFQ). Market makers receive your request and compete to offer the best price. You see live quotes ranked by premium.
3

Trade on-chain

Accept the best quote. The market maker countersigns an EIP-712 order off-chain, and you call fill() on ConvallaxRFQSettlement to atomically swap USDC for option tokens in a single transaction — no custody, no escrow delay.
4

Settle at expiry

After expiry, the resolution service computes the 30-minute trade VWAP of the YES token and publishes a signed attestation on-chain. If your option finished in the money, call claimHolderPayout() to burn your tokens and receive USDC.

For Market Makers

Connect to the WebSocket-based RFQ relay, receive live quote requests, and earn the spread on every filled trade. Quotes are signed off-chain; settlement is atomic and non-custodial.

Become a Market Maker

Connect to the relay, receive RFQ broadcasts, and submit competitive signed quotes.
